The Father Reginald Foster interview is fantastic.
He is, put simply, the coolest catholic priest I've ever seen, heard or read about anywhere. What an incredible man. To be a senior priest at the Vatican and then say all of those wise and rational things is such a brilliant oxymoron.

The truth is often smug and cocky.
If I say "I am a better person than Charles Manson" that sounds pretty damned arrogant, but I can assure you it's true.
It seems to me the core message that Maher is getting across is that we need to get over ourselves (humankind). We are not special, we are not intelligent, we are not different. We are animals, we will end and we are wasting our time arguing amongst one another when we could be enjoying ourselves.

I have just woken up and I read the description quickly.
My first thought was "IT WAS ALL A LIE?!" then I realized it must mean 'today' as in the day it was filmed. As in pre-death.

I don't think Hitchens claims to be a scientist.
Though he is in the right by saying other planets in our near proximity are inhospitable as, you said it yourself, there isn't any concrete evidence to suggest that there could be. The idea that there may be life in the sub-ice seas of Europa is intriguing but we're far from getting any solid evidence that would put the widely held belief of the improbability of our existence into question.

If you watch carefully, you can see the camera flashes to the right of the screen, very tiny amongst the other flashes of light. And screams near the end.
I would assume most of this was shot from a helicopter, which explains the intense black and lack of a crowd view.
