It would have been perfect if the harmonica solo was palindrome. Or was it?

Re: Weird Al Yankovic-Bob
I don't THINK it was, but you reminded me of a song that IS a palindrome -
"UFO TOFU" by Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. Check it out!

Re: Weird Al Yankovic-Bob
'I Palindrome I' by They Might Be Giants is one very long palindrome.

Mozart did some stuff like that. More a novel exercise than musically stirring, but what do I know? This song was great, though.

Re: Weird Al Yankovic-Bob
Are you sure you're not thinking of Bach?
Mozart wrote some bits of music that could be randomly arranged to make a composition. Supposedly it wasn't a really great piece of music, but then again as you said it was just a game.
On the other hand, a crab cannon was a type of cannon in which one voice strictly imitated the other voice in retrograde (i.e. played the other voice backwards). The most famous example of this kind of "musical palindrome" is found in Bach's "A Musical Offering." And quite frankly, I think it is a fine little piece of music.

Re: Weird Al Yankovic: Bob
I've never been a Weird Al fan, but this was fantastic. A lot of people have parodied the Subterranean Homesick Blues sequence from "Don't look Back", but forcing himself to do it only in palindromes was a great jibe at how nonsensical the original lyric was.

Re: Weird Al Yankovic: Bob
I, man, am regal - a German am I
Never odd or even
If I had a hi-fi
Madam, I'm Adam
Too hot to hoot
No lemons, no melon
Too bad I hid a boot
Lisa Bonet ate no basil
Warsaw was raw
Was it a car or a cat I saw?
Rise to vote, sir
Do geese see God?
"Do nine men interpret?" "Nine men," I nod
Rats live on no evil star
Won't lovers revolt now?
Race fast, safe car
Pa's a sap
Ma is as selfless as I am
May a moody baby doom a yam?
Ah, Satan sees Natasha
No devil lived on
Lonely Tylenol
Not a banana baton
No "x" in "Nixon"
O, stone, be not so
O Geronimo, no minor ego
"Naomi," I moan
"A Toyota's a Toyota"
A dog, a panic in a pagoda
Oh no! Don Ho!
Nurse, I spy gypsies - run!
Senile felines
Now I see bees I won
UFO tofu
We panic in a pew
Oozy rat in a sanitary zoo
God! A red nugget! A fat egg under a dog!
Go hang a salami, I'm a lasagna hog
